Program Overview
The Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) / Nurse Leadership in Global Health degree is an 18-month program (6 quarters) of didactic coursework offered in a distance learning format, with a leadership experience component scheduled in the last two quarters of the curriculum. The didactic curriculum and applied leadership capstone experience allow each student to demonstrate attainment of the ten to achieve leadership certifications.
- Advanced concepts: The didactic phase emphasizes advanced concepts surrounding global health policy, finance, leadership, evidence-based practice, research design, biostatistics, and preventive healthcare practices.
- Innovative teaching strategies: The comprehensive and engaging didactic curriculum uses innovative online teaching strategies delivered by experienced and supportive nursing faculty.
- Small student cohorts: Our small student cohorts ensure one-on-one support from instructors and faculty advisors.
- Leadership (capstone) experience: The applied leadership capstone experience begins in the Fall Quarter of the second year of the program, under the guidance of faculty mentors. Through this experience, students demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitude to assume professional roles as nurse leaders and executives.

To be considered for admission to the M.S.N. / Nurse Leadership in Global Health program, applicants must submit the following documented evidence:
- Completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing, granted by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
- Current and unencumbered licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the jurisdiction of residence.
- A preferred cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
