To be considered for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) / Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, applicants must submit the following documented evidence:

1. Completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing, granted by a regionally accredited college or university.
2. Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in at least one legal jurisdiction in the United States and its territories.
3. A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) / Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree is a 24-month, 72 quarter credit hour program, including:

• Eight quarters of online didactic study emphasizing advanced concepts in areas such as Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Pharmacology, Physiology, and Pathophysiology.
• Two mandatory 5-day on-campus residencies focused on physical and health assessment.
• Three quarters of practicum experience (640 practicum hours) providing students with hands-on experience to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the practice of the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in a variety of practice settings.

M.S.N. graduates are required to demonstrate specific foundational and concentration-related competencies. The didactic curriculum and applied practicum experiences allow each student to demonstrate attainment of the .
